We often claim that we have 70.000 competing apps on the app store, but that is not exactly true. The number can be narrowed down dramatically if you look at Mobclix' numbers.
According to the company, the category is leading the way but… there are only 16.000 games in there. The category leaves also a lot of room for interpretation when you compare it to others. How boring must it for example bee to check out 422 weather apps for the best one…
