Microsoft to Change XBLA Restrictions!?

March 12th, 2012 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: XNA | No Comments »

Developers that are working on Windows Phone and Xbox Live Arcade games are expected to see changes in Microsoft’s achievements and highscoring restrictions. According to rumours, Microsoft is expected to double the amounts of both.

Now, developers are allowed to hand out 200 points and 20 achievements in an XBLA game and 50 points + 5 achievements per DLC with a limit of 3 DLC’s. The new plans provide developers with more room to develop bigger games for both XBLA-based platforms. The changes are expected to take place in June, but can be implemented from April 1st onward.
