Microsoft Enters Mobile Content Delivery

February 21st, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Other news | No Comments »

Microsoft has announced to enter the mobile content delivery arena with their PlayReady technology. Microsoft announced their PlayReady technology as a solution that is able to work with multiple business models ranging from pay per play to subscription and one off models. The system is designed for mobile games, video, ringtones, music and images.

With this latest development from Microsoft, it is clear their strategy is to enter the market on multiple levels. With their OS installed on a huge amount of devices already, Xbox-Live being rolled out on several operators and their hottest game licenses being published on mobile phones around the globe, it is clear Microsoft wants to have it’s footprint on every level in the industry.
