Megu Launches Android AppStore

April 26th, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

Blank Megu has announced their AppStore concept for Google’s Android platform. With the release of their platform, the company hopes to provide consumers a good alternative for the default store ran by Google.

The company says that unlike the iPhone AppStore, they are open for all sorts of content, which sounds like an open invitation to the adult, gambling and baby shaker developers.

“After we have launched our showcase technology on MeguMobile.com, our management team has decided that it is best to enter the AppStore technology market, and provide something accessible to mobile operators, mobile content providers, which are hungry for solutions, that will open doors for them or their partners to offer content on these new platforms, such as Google Android”, says Matej Gause, Content director of MEGU Mobile.

“Till now, mobile operators were losing money with the Android and iPhone, using MEGU Mobile helps take down this barrier at least on the Android platform, and can be easily plugged into any operator and third party billing system. Another benefit of this technology is, that it is unrestricted to many limitations, and it can also be used for adult entertainment content.”, says Lukas Stibor, Managing Director at MEGU Mobile.
