Logitech’s Revue Settopbox Hacked

January 16th, 2011 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

The GTVHacker-devteam has announced it managed to hack into Logitech’s Revue Settopbox. The Revue is one of the first devices based on Google TV, which is basically a TV optimized version of Android.

Android developer Howard Harte kept a competition in which he would hand out €1.000 to the first that manages to hack the device. The GTVHacker-devteam now claimed the prize money. The hack did involve some soldering, so it isn’t something the average consumer could perform right now.
