Intel Capital has invested €10 million in Dutch developer Layar. The investment is meant to increase the number of products and services based on augmented reality.
Amongst the newly developed software and services should be a tool that makes it easy to find new content for the Layar browser. The total investment pool of Intel was €57 million that has been divided over 18 companies. Clearly Layar has received one of the biggest chucks of money.
