Latin American Mobile Games Market Unveiled

March 5th, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Analysis & Editorial | No Comments »

EJL Wireless revealed some data about the Latin-American mobile games market. Along 2006, the market represented $ 65 million in mobile game sales. EJL expects the market to grow to a value of $ 195 million by 2011.

EJL analyzed the data of 38 operators in 11 countries to come to this
conclusion. The three most important countries in this territory are
Brazil, Argentina and Mexico. At this moment, the market is migrating
from CDMA to GSM handsets, but the majority of downloads still happen
on the Brew devices. VIVO, Brazil’s most important operator is also
migrating to GSM and J2me, but this is a slow process.
