The furious sales figures for cellphones are not simply the result of people wanting to talk to each other more, but the result of using them for mobile computer games and gambling.
So says Juniper Research, a British-based high-tech consultancy, whose report Mobile Entertainment Content Series (second edition) says that gambling and games will drive mobile entertainment from $17.6-billion (U.S.) a year in 2005 to $59-billion in 2009. More …
