As WebOS is transitioning into an open source operating system, HP has announced it will be letting go of another 270 employees that worked on the operating system. HP will try to place those employees at other parts of the company.
With this move, HP is creating a small, core team that will keep actively developing the Open Source version of WebOS. Last year, HP had already fired 500 employees from the WebOS division and this year, former Palm CEO John Rubinstein left the company as well.
Congratulations
