Another interesting bit of news reached us when we heard the JeePee app has been removed from the App Store. The app was mocking the Dutch minister president Jan Peter Balkenende.
The app contained a cartoon of the president that is dancing on the music that you are playing. You can manipulate him with your finger and so, throw him around the screen. Minister Mei Li Vos from opposing party PVDA (the president belongs to the CDA) is demonstrating the app in this video (the site is Dutch but she's cute enough to spend a few seconds to find the play button).
What makes this case interesting is that Apple blocked most apps that featured Obama but the checks don't seem to look at political leaders in smaller countries. Even if the QA of the App Store didn't notice this, it's amazing that local Apple employees took action.
