It has been nearly a week since Apple released iPhoneOS 3.0. Since that moment, a lot of consumers have upgraded their devices, but it seems that consumers don't update their devices as fast as you might expect.
According to numbers released by AdMob a few days ago, only 44% of the iPhone owners have upgraded their OS to 3.0. When looking at the iPod Touch, the number is even more dramatic as only 1% of those owners have upgraded their devices. This is probably the direct result of Apple charging $ 10 for a 3.0 upgrade.
Another problem has been reported by owners of the first generation iPod Touch. It seems the hardware has serious problems running 3.0. It seems the devices don't have the power to create a smooth experience and even crash according to complaints on several forums and news sites.
