On YouTube, we got tipped about a video in which four generations of iPhones are tested for actual execution speeds. Though the measurements are far from scientific, they do reveal some interesting details.
As you can see in the video (above this text), the speed difference between the first two and second two iPhones is very limited. The difference between the iPhone 3G and 3GS however is remarkable especially considering the fact that the 3GS and 4 both run the newest iPhone OS, which eats more resources anyway.
