iPhone Allowed Access to Korea

September 23rd, 2009 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

South-korea

One of the technological well developed countries that didn’t have the iPhone yet was South Korea. This was because the government didn’t allow the device in because it didn’t have Korean positioning technology on board.

Now, this restriction has finally been lifted and Apple can open up negotiations to sell the device. When the iPhone goes on sale in Korea, LG and Samsung will see a healthy competitor enter their home market and we will probably see the number of MMO’s on the App Store explode.
