Though we haven’t heard much from InnerActive when it comes to add funded gaming, the company seems to have closed a nice deal with ICQ to provide free mobile games to their entire community.
This is not the first time that ICQ starts experimenting with mobile games. Earlier, they released a portfolio of commercial games with mliven. That company also converted many of ICQ’s popular flash games to mobile. The ICQ network spans 42 million users worldwide.
To stimulate the uptake, ICQ will offer recommendation services in the hope to create a viral effect. In some multiplayer games, consumers can even battle for sponsored prizes.
“ICQ’s dynamic global community is the perfect audience for ad-funded mobile content, and exactly what the premium advertisers are looking for,” said Ziv Elul, Founder & Co-CEO of innerActive. “We are happy to provide a complete managed service solution to ICQ, generating real and instant value for both the advertisers and content publishers using our network.”
“This new partnership is another step towards ICQ’s vision of providing its users with all their communication and content needs on all platforms”, said Ofer Oved, vice president of ICQ. “This collaboration is a win-win solution, combining innerActive’s high-quality content and their solution of in-game advertising with ICQ’s strategy, providing users with quality rich media content for free on all media platforms.”
Next to mobile games, the deal also allows InnerActive to provide ad-funded videos and applications.
