Great news for those that want to try and include the latest technologies in their mobile games. The Immersion Corporation has announced that VibeTonz, their Touch Feedback system, is ready to launch on AndroidOS.
Fair enough, it's not as easy as just including an API and everything will be OK. The Immersion VibeTonz system has to be supported by the manufacturer in order to work.
"Touch feedback is the future of the digital device user experience," said Craig Vachon, vice president and general manager of Immersion's Mobility line of business. "With more sophisticated features and increasing user demand for both ease-of-use and elegance of design, haptics is key to helping device makers deliver products that delight customers. Haptics also lets operators and content developers capitalize on a market opportunity for clearly differentiated and engaging content and services."
Congratulations
