IDC: Samsung Beats Nokia in Europe

May 6th, 2011 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Research & Stats | No Comments »

Samsung is the new market leader in Europe. They have beaten the Finnish with a mere 1% in market share. Samsung sold 29% of all mobile phones in Q1. Nokia did ‘just’ 28% in the same quarter.

Samsung’s growth is also reflected in the year-on-year sales numbers. Last year, Samsung did only 24% in the same quarter. Last month, HTC beat Nokia in market value. It’s a shitty year for the guys.
