From now on, iAd’s can be used to trigger downloads from the App Store without intervention from iTunes. With this move, Apple increases the distance to other advertisers on the iOS platform.
Various ad networks have been offering app promotions for some time, but they have always been limited to forwarding the consumer to iTunes which means leads can’t be tracked.
