I-Play to Distribute Polarbit (Native) Games

April 18th, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Distribution | No Comments »

Iplay
UK based publisher I-Play
has signed up a new deal to extend their
portfolio of mobile 3D games. After signing up Fishlabs a few months ago, this
time they signed with Polarbit who specializes in Brew, Symbian and
Windows Mobile native mobile gaming.

Screenshot1The deal will kick off with 3D Wave Blazer, 3D Armageddon Squadron, 3D Nitro GT and Dominator. Though they don’t sounds like the average range of casual games that I-Play normally brings to market, they do fit into their one-button gameplay strategy.

Leighton Webb, SVP of content strategy and licensing at I-play, said: “Polarbit are the masters of high-end mobile game development and we are very excited to bring their stunning games to market. These games showcase the advanced performance achievable on today’s mobile platforms while embracing I-play’s mantra that regardless of the power of the technology behind a game, the gameplay itself is always king."

Mitri Bautista-Wiberg, co-founder of Polarbit, said: "We are extremely happy to be working with I-play in bringing our titles to market. It is important for us to be partnering with people who are as passionate and dedicated as ourselves about gaming on mobile platforms, while able to bring the marketing weight and industry connections of a first-rate publisher."
