Hudson Entertainment, the North American publishing arm of Hudson Soft, has announced the licensing of Blitz: The League for Mobile from Midway.
Though Midway has done several attempts to enter the mobile arena in the past few years (most titles where published by THQ Wireless), it seems they now start licensing their arcade classics to fellow publishers. As so, Hudson Entertainment got hold of one of the most destructive football games called Blitz: The League.
Blitz: The League will be available on both J2me and Brew based mobile phones and is scheduled for launch this fall in North America. To date, the game has already sold more then 1.4 million copies on other platforms.
"With its no-holds-barred, anything goes gameplay, Blitz: The League is an innovative alternative to the typical football simulation gaming experience," said John Greiner, President and CEO of Hudson Entertainment. "Due to its success, we thought it was high time to bring the action to mobile, and we’ve done so with stunning results."
