HTC Working on Cheaper Smartphones

Htc HTC is rumoured to be signing up new component suppliers in order to bring down the costs of developing smartphones. By introducing cheaper hardware, HTC might boost the Android uptake.


Cheaper hardware and the free OS Android might mean that smartphones become more accessible and so the market share for Android might benefit from this move. It's still rumours, but with the budget phone HTC Click spotted in the wild, they are expected to be true.
