HTC has announced that between July 2009 and July 2010, the vendor sold twice as much smartphones. In 2009, July was worth €225 million which rose to €575 million in 2010.
According to HTC, this is mainly due to the success of the Android platform as sales on Windows Mobile are declining in anticipation of the release of Windows Phone 7 hardware. In the Netherlands, 70% of the smartphones sold are HTC’s Android devices.
