HP has delayed the delivery of the Slate 500 device with six weeks due to high demand. The company expected to sell 5.000 units of their first real tablet computer, yet they received 9.000 pre-orders.
As a result, HP has to restart the production process and apparently that means it will not deliver the ones that are already on stock. The Slate 500 is running on Windows 7. It holds an 1.86 Ghz CPU, 2GB memory, 64GB SSD and has an 8.9” touchscreen. To give the whole thing a classic feel, HP delivers a stylus with the device.
