Hands-On Indie Developer Programme

October 9th, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Development Deals | No Comments »

HandsonHands-On Mobile has announced a new programme to support independent developers in entering the global mobile gaming market. This way Hands-On expects to find and aggregate creative new mobile gaming content.

To kick off the “Indie Developer Programme”, Hands-On will gather the cream or Europe’s developer talent at an event on the 15th of November at Hollins Hall in Bollington. More details about the event still need to be unveiled. Needless to say, this program will turn Hands-On’s strategy to not only publishing in-house concepts, but also into (exclusive) aggregation of mobile games.

Eric Hobson, President and General Manager EMEA, Hands-On Mobile said: “For several years now, in addition to in-house development, we’ve working with some of the best indie developers to bring great games to a global audience. Whilst we continue to work with our current partners we know that there is a lot of untapped talent and potential in the market, which we believe deserves to be seen. We want to offer independent developers the opportunity to bring their games to a global audience. Mobile distribution channels are hugely fragmented and pose a real problem to an independent developer, Hands On can solve that issue for them. There are some real undiscovered gems out there and we want to work with these elite developers to put their games in front of the world’s mobile phone users.”
