It seems Greystripe is starting to break through on the highest levels of mobile game publishers. Last week, the company signed up SEGA to provide games for free to gamejump consumers.
The deal kicks off with three SEGA classics; Sonic Jump, Afterburner II and all-time favourite, Golden Axe.
“Sega has selected to be a part of the Greystripe’s distribution network of sites as it opens up the category to a whole new market of consumers,” said Linda Chaplin, VP of Mobile at Sega. “The ‘free games’ proposition allows consumers to try mobile games without risk and we’re confident that our brands and commitment to quality will convince consumers to stay and continue gaming on their mobile phones.”
“Besides being the biggest name in gaming, Sega has incredible IP and truly understands the move to mobile with their classic game titles,” said Michael Chang, CEO of Greystripe. “Our partnership with them is a huge win for our end users and demonstrates that Greystripe is able to bring the biggest brands to the mobile gaming audience.”
