According to Reuters, Google has started to put pressure on Android developers to start using Google’s Wallet service for in-app payments. If they won’t switch, Google Play might become a no-go area to them.
Google would have given several developers a deadline to make the switch. Those developers are now using competitors like PayPal. If they don’t make the switch, they might face delisting in Google Play. Google has also setup workshops at the GDC to assist developers in the transition.
