Following a successful launch of Google Maps Navigation on their own Android OS (UK & US only), Google has now announced it will be taking it’s free navigation software to the iPhone.
With this move, Google launches another free piece of software that is a must-have for many iPhone owners and at the same time it brings a tough competitor to a device on which TomTom has successfully sold their navigation suites. TomTom has been topping the top grossing charts in many countries and even started selling peripherals for those that use the iPhone to navigate.
