Google Kills Installed Malware on Android

March 8th, 2011 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Platforms: AndroidOS | No Comments »

Last week, Google removed a big number of dodgy apps from Android Market. As these malware apps looked a lot like more famous apps, they managed to attract a whole lot of downloads.

To make sure consumers are safe from harm, Google remotely removed the malware from Android devices. It is the first time Google takes these steps and we are not sure any other platform owner has used this functionality in the past though it is possible with most of them.
