Google has announced the acquisition of LabPixies. The Israeli studio specialized in social network games for iGoogle and Facebook as well as mobile games for Android and iPhone.
With the $25 million (rumor) acquisition, Google has invested in pure content for the first time. Google already had a good relation with the developer as they worked together on OpenSocial applications. LabPixies raised $1 million in their first round of funding.
