May 2nd, 2008 by Arjan Olsder Posted in People | No Comments »

GluGlu’s CFO Albert A. "Rocky" Pimentel has resigned from the company. Glu acted quickly by replacing Albert with Eric R. Ludwig as Interim CFO.

"Rocky has played a central role at Glu, building a strong financial organization as well as helping put our global infrastructure in place. I am personally grateful to him for the leadership, expertise and dedication," said Greg Ballard, president and chief executive officer, Glu. "We are proud to see him move on to such a prestigious post at McAfee and wish him all the best for his future. Eric has played a key role in our finance organization over the past three years. We expect that he will be a prominent, leading candidate in our search for a chief financial officer."

As senior vice president of finance, Ludwig is responsible for the oversight of all corporate finance and accounting for Glu worldwide including global finance, accounting, tax, treasury and investor relations. Since joining Glu in 2005, Ludwig has played a key role in Glu’s initial public offering and contributed significantly to the due diligence and integration of Glu’s acquisitions of iFone, MIG and Superscape as well as the integration of the acquisition of Macrospace. Prior to joining Glu, Ludwig was chief financial officer, vice president, finance and corporate secretary of Instill Corporation, an on-demand supply chain software company. Ludwig was also corporate controller at Camstar Systems, Inc., spent five years at Price Waterhouse L.L.P. and is a Certified Public Accountant.
