Sometimes it feels like the most obvious mobile games have been laying around for far to long before they came to mobile. Glu must have realized this as well as finally they released an official Asteroids game on mobile.
Until now, lovers of the Asteroids game had to download rip-offs and adult mobile games to play the game, but that is about to change now. Asteroids is without doubt one of the biggest classics (1979 Atari) when it comes to gaming and deserves a spot next to classics like Pac-Man and Pong.
"Asteroids captures the timeless energy and addictive gameplay of the original arcade game, a true reminder of the hours spent at the arcade, but also gives gamers completely new themes, gameplay and graphics that take advantage of today’s technology," said Jill Braff, senior vice president of global publishing, Glu. In the new mobile version of Asteroids, players can not only play the classic game, but also play with new themes and gameplay options that extend the fun of the Asteroids game.
