Tuesday evening, Glu's senior director, global public relations, Nicole Kennedy, gave me a call on my way back from work to discuss our story on one of Glu's territory managers trying to influence reviews on Glu's mobile games.
The e-mail we had published had clearly opened up a discussion around the independence of mobile game reviewers that receive games from Glu and other other publishers around the world. O fthose, Pocket Gamer was the only one to directly respond on our blog, telling the readers that they don't review games under such conditions.
Back to the phone call, Nicole confirmed to the blog that Glu regrets this incident;
“It is not Glu's practice to manipulate review scores of our games. We respect the editorial integrity of the media, and we value the objectivity they bring to the industry and our games.”
As so, we expect that this case is closed.
Congratulations
