At the Develop Mobile conference this morning, Glu‘s Chris White (head of EMEA studios) expressed his concern about mobile handset manufacturers not informing consumers about mobile gaming.
Chris explains that he dislikes the fact that when consumers purchase a mobile phone, they are not aware of the gaming possibilities offered by it. This way, consumers are not aware of the fancy 3D gaming possibilities of most mobile devices. This follows his statement that most of the mobile 3D games exceed the consumer’s expected experience. Glu hopes that handset manufacturers will put more marketing on the gaming side of the device to bring the market yet another step forward.
