Glu has signed a new multi-year licensing agreement with Fox Mobile Entertainment in order to lengthen their use of the Ice Age brand for mobile games.
The first game that will be produced by Glu is Ice Age: Mammoth Mayhem, a mobile only game that will launch in the second half of 2008.
“Our initial work with Fox on ICE AGE 2 proved a tremendous commercial success,” said Greg Ballard, president and chief executive officer, Glu. “We’re excited to have the opportunity to build on that success with our new mobile-exclusive ICE AGE game scheduled for summer of this year, and with a subsequent mobile game based on Fox’s ICE AGE 3 movie, scheduled for release in 2009.”
“Glu’s ability to execute on a worldwide basis, their creative abilities, and their understanding of the ICE AGE brand makes them the logical partner for the ICE AGE franchise,” said Mitch Feinman, Senior Vice President, Fox Mobile Entertainment. “We’re pleased to be working with Glu in bringing our worldwide audience new ways to interact with the ICE AGE characters they’ve come to know and adore.”
