GlobalFun Reorganizes

Global-fun This summer, GlobalFun has been through organizational restructuring by closing down its Buenos Aires development unit. With continued changes in the market GlobalFun, is adapting itself again.


The company will keep distributing their current J2me portfolio and work on selected new titles. For 2010, the company is looking at launching around 10 new titles for the J2me platform. At the same time, GlobalFun will turn its focus more toward emerging platforms like Android as well as social networks. While the Android platform is in a very early phase GlobalFun’s CEO Marcus Johansson believes it will rival Apples iPhone and in sales.

“2009 has been a year of challenges as well as interesting changes in our industry.” Said Marcus Johansson, CEO of GlobalFun “GlobalFun has taken measures to deal with those changes and utilize the arising opportunities. Those measures include adjusting the organization. As part of this Bertil Krumnack, who has been working with the company for the last 9 years, has chosen to leave for new endeavors. GlobalFun is very thankful for the services provided by Bertil during these many years as he has been part of building GlobalFun.”
