GetJar has signed a very interesting deal with Indian carrier Reliance Telecom. Through the deal, GetJar will make available its catalogue of mobile games and apps toward Reliance’s 100m subs.
GetJar already managed to pull a lot of traffic from India, so the deal with Reliance is really a sign of importance. GetJar will be offering the whole library of 65.000 apps and games at a charge per MB of 50 paise. This means developers will not be earning on a per download sale. It is not clear if developers will also be earning money from web traffic generated by their apps and games.
Congratulations
