Apple has launched the Genius recommendation system on the iPad App Store. It will help drive more downloads as consumers get recommendations based on their and others previous purchases.
The reason for this late launch is expected to be because Apple needed to build up download records for datamining to make Genius as accurate as possible. Genius has already been successful for iPhone apps.
