While OpenFeint was one of the first bigger social gaming networks on the iPhone, it seems Scoreloop might be leading the race when it comes to popularity.
We spoke Marc Gumpinger at the GDC at the moment his company announced a deal to bring a Chunghwa Telecom branded version of their Android SDK to the operator. Though the only thing different from the regular SDK being the logo, it offers the operator to offer it’s Android users a Game Center like environment. To further support the OEM business, Scoreloop will be releasing a Scoreloop app on Android. Marc explained that the company is talking to do the same with other operators.
On another note, Scoreloop is currently registering 100.000 new gamers every day. If we compare this with Google activating 200.000 new Android phones on a daily basis, that number surely is impressive.
