Following the story we launched earlier today in which Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime is bashing the console competition, he also has taken a shot at bashing the iPhone development community at Venturebeat.
First off, it’s a win for the mobile games industry as Reggie admits that the DSi is aiming at the ease of the download service that is provided by Apple. Yet, he also explains that Nintendo is aiming at more control over the content. Nintendo will look at innovative, high quality, distinctive mobile games and applications.
In other words, there will be two scenario’s;
A) It will be the playground for the big publishers whereas the iPhone platform is very accessible.
B) There will be strict content monitoring and a lot of the games and apps will be filtered out.
