Epic Games’ Josh Adams has shown the GDC public a demonstration of their Unreal Engine 3 on an iPhone 3GS. Though the engine is running perfectly, a mobile Gears of War game will not happen soon.
The engine is build upon the graphical possibilities of the new iPhone 3GS (and with that, the new iPod Touch). Through close corporation with Apple, the engine is build in a way that it can access core processes. This means full games can be build in Unreal Script.
Though there are no real finished games yet, the engine has already been deployed to several big developers. Check the video footage below.
