It seems like Google has hit the right spot by making the Android platform open source. Now, even Garmin is entering the smartphone market as they expect to release their first Android handset along Q2 2009.
Their first Android phone will be called Nuvifone and will launch in Taiwan first. It's designed for 1900MHz and 850 Mhz but there is no news if it will hit other markets.
With more and more companies launching Android based products, the Android market might become at least as powerful as the App Store is.
