Gamevil Releases Art of War

October 23rd, 2007 by Arjan Olsder Posted in New Releases | No Comments »

Gamevil Real Time Strategy (RTS) games are getting more and more traction on mobile phones as many developers are releasing cool mobile games in the genre. Now, Gamevil joins in on the fun by publishing Gear Games’ Art of War.

Art of War is yet another success story after having previous titles published by companies like THQ Wireless. Graphics in the game are 3D renders which give players a real Command & Conquer like experience on their mobile phone. The game allows three difficulty settings and put the player in charge of 6 missions. The mobile game Art of War was already part of the interview we did with Gear Games back in November 2006.

"Gamevil has opened new horizons for us by providing our game to the US market," said Artyom V. Shumsky, CEO of Gear Games. "It is a great honour for Gear Games that Art of War, the first mobile classic real-time strategic game, will be soon available for American customers. We pin big hopes on our cooperation with Gamevil."

"We were very impressed when we first saw Art of War, and it is our privilege to partner with Gear Games to release such an exciting title," said Allen Lee, Vice President of Business Development at Gamevil USA. "As one of the pioneer RTS games for the mobile platform, Art of War gives you an immersive experience that really takes you back to the college days – playing RTS games on a diet fueled by soda and red licorice."
