For all those guys that want to create mobile games but don’t have the talent to code, there is a solution. GameSalad, a project we discussed before, went live this week.
Apart from the iPhone, the company has also built in support to release games for the web and social networks like Facebook. The GameSalad creator will be available in three annual licensing models. Indie ($499), Pro ($1.999) and Basic (Free). The output is completely royalty free.
With the Basic version, developers can create only games for the web. Other platforms will be enabled as the subscription fee increases. This will allow developers to start experimenting with web versions before investing in the tool.
Tools like this might increase the competition on the crowded App Store even more.
