Gameloft is finally joining the long list of publishers that use Twitter as promotional tool. We must admit that the publisher may be late, but they are more progressive. Too progressive perhaps…
Gameloft has chosen to start Twitter feeds based on individual mobile games. Examples we have seen so far are “Asphalt” and “Hero of Sparta”. To make sure the press picks up on the feeds, Gameloft has started to “follow” all sources of mobile games related news. This includes Pocket Gamer and of course MobileGamesBlog.com.
Yet, only days after the launch, Gameloft has disappeared from our followers list. When visiting the profiles of those games, we are forwarded to Twitters suspended pages;
“Sorry, the account you were headed to has been suspended due to strange activity. Mosey along now, nothing to see here.”
We guess this means that the company went a bit overboard somewhere…
For those that want to track us on Twitter, or any of the other platforms. Check the long list on the right of this story.
