Gameloft Germany Responds to Android Billing Issues

December 15th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Analysis & Editorial | 1 Comment »

THE story of today must be the billing issues consumers report when buying their Android games directly from Gameloft. A German site contacted Gameloft and received very interesting comments from the publisher.

First off, the company stresses that German consumers had not been double-charged for their Gameloft purchases. Gameloft did not comment on the lack of followup from their support desk.

When asked why Gameloft is not on Android market, the company stated that inconsistency of payment options and the return policy are not to satisfaction for the publisher. Another point of dissatisfaction about Android Market is that “Google does not put enough emphasis on proper placement of quality content”. Gameloft is more satisfied with how Apple, Nokia, Palm and Microsoft treat their catalogue.
