Zeemote got another push today as Gameloft was announced to be creating Zeemote games as well. With all this support, we can only ask one thing… When will it land in the stores!?
In order to ensure a consistent quality consumer experience
with the Zeemote JS1 Controller, the company has also launched the Zeemote
Ready developer program. The new certification process includes
a set of standards and simple testing procedures that make it easier for
publishers to bring Zeemote JS1 Controller compatible games to market. Once
approved, the titles will be branded Zeemote Ready so mobile gamers can easily
see all the games that work with the controller.
"The
zeemote JS1 Controller brings an intuitive and innovative experience to
players" said Gonzague de Vallois, senior Vice President at Gameloft.
"We believe the Zeemote controller, combined with high quality Gameloft
games is a perfect match for customers who will have a strong motivation
to download and enjoy more and more mobile games."“The industry support has been
overwhelming and we are very proud of the fact that nearly every one of the top
15 mobile games publishers has committed to creating games compatible with the
Zeemote JS1 Controller,” said Beth Marcus, CEO, Zeemote. “As we
prepare for commercial launch, first in Europe then followed by North America
and Asia in 2009, we have not only content creators, but also operators,
handset manufacturers and OEMs
