Gameloft has announced to start releasing several of their games on the
iPod’s mobile gaming shop within iTunes. Gameloft is one of the few to
have acquired the license.

With the acquisition of this license, Gameloft shows up in a territory where market leader EA Mobile has had successes already with their games like Tetris. The first launch from Gameloft will be LOST, a mobile game based on the massive success of the TV series. Gameloft also announced to release an iPod version of Brain Challenge soon.

It is five years to the day that Apple launched the almighty iPod. The device has undoubtedly transformed the way many of us buy and listen to music. In the last five years, 68 million iPods have been sold, and the company holds a staggering 75% share of the market.
