It seems Apple will have a lot more trademark issues with their iPad when they enter Europe. Apart from Fujitso claiming the name in the US, STMicroelectronics claims it in Europe.
STMicroelectronics has registered IPAD for Europe. It stands for Integrated Passive and Active Devices. The company also registered it for print and electronic components.
