FreeAppADay.com Changes Business Model Again

March 30th, 2010 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Marketing Strategies, Platforms: iOS | No Comments »

Ics-mobile The popular free games website FreeAppADay.com has announced yet another new business model and in all honesty, this one is actually looking very interesting for developers small and big.

Instead of paying a large upfront fee, the site will work on a 30% commission rate over the additional revenues generated following promotion on the portal. To calculate the success, developers need to notify the website about the revenues in the seven days prior to the promotion. Those numbers will create a baseline. Every download more in ‘a’ period following the promotion will be split 70:30. It is unknown how long this period will be though.
