With the Fringe TV series being successful in the US and EU, FOX is setting up a development contest to tap into the creativity of indie developers. If you win, you have the official Fringe app in your portfolio.
To enter, you have to be based in the US and you should not have any ties with FOX apart from watching their shows though even that might be a grey area. The app needs to be submitted by September third and you will agree to sign over all the rights to your ideas to FOX. If you win, you get $10K. If you are second, you get $1K. If you lose, you lose all.
Congratulations
