Flurry: Amazon Appstore Closing in on iTunes App Store

March 31st, 2012 by Arjan Olsder Posted in Analysis & Editorial | No Comments »

The latest report from Flurry shows that Amazon might soon outgrow Appleā€™s App Store when talking revenues. The revenues originating from the Amazon Appstore are 89% of those originating from the iTunes App Store.

Flurry calculated these numbers based on feedback from 11 million daily active users from mid-January till the end of Feb. The amount of revenues Amazon is pulling in is amazing when comparing it with the short time it has been active. Google remains pretty far behind on Apple and Amazon. Google Play is making only 23% of the revenues Apple is doing.
